Antonio Conte Expecting Humongous Raise on Transfer to PSG, Wants Complete Control of Transfer Window

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is expecting a huge pay rise if he is going to join Paris Saint-German as their next manager over the summer.

The relationship between Antonio Conte and Tottenham Hotspur has never seemed concrete. The Italian boss has been in charge of the North London-based outfit for less than a year, but one can easily see the cracks in the relationship between the club and the manager. In fact, Conte has repeatedly said in press conferences that the Spurs players “are not as good as players he has managed elsewhere.”

Another such rocky relationship exists between PSG and Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine has recently led the Parisians to reclaim their throne as the champions of France. But the main highlight of his tenure has been PSG’s inability to get past Real Madrid in the Round of 16 of this year’s Champions League. In a squad that boasts Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe- PSG was widely touted as the favorite to win the holy grail. But this season, too, the trophy has evaded them.

Speculations regarding Pochettino have always been around, and he was widely touted as the man to take over at Manchester United once the season is over. But with the recent appointment of Erik Ten Haag as the new boss of Manchester United, Pochettino has been linked to his old side Spurs.

Spurs who are managed by Conte would be interested in bringing their ex-manager. Under Pochettino, Spurs enjoyed some of their best years. Pochettino is not as demanding as Conte when it comes to transfers and authority. He also knows the culture of the club well, so adaptability will not be a problem. So where is the problem?

The problem could very well be Mr. Conte and his demands. Firstly, as per reports, Conte wants a whopping thirty million euros per season as his salary. He currently earns seventeen million at Spurs, and he will join PSG if his salary demands are met. He also wants total control of the transfers. PSG’s transfers are handled by their Sporting Director Leonardo, but Conte wants full control. He is also open to working with Gianluca Petrachi – who is touted by many to join PSG as their new sporting director.

Whatever happens, the managerial merry-go-round is about to start. We suggest you stick around.
