Arrest warrant issued for Cowboys’ rookie Sam Williams following car crash incident

On December 22, 2022, Dallas Cowboys player Sam Williams was involved in a car crash in Plano, Texas, when his Corvette collided with an Infiniti attempting to cross in front of him. The incident occurred less than five miles away from the Cowboys headquarters in Frisco.

Although neither of the drivers was seriously injured, Williams suffered a concussion and minor neck injuries along with multiple cuts and bruises on his face. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution and missed one game due to the wreck.

The Plano Police Department has issued a misdemeanor warrant for Williams arrest on reckless driving, but they are not planning to arrest him. Instead, they will give him an opportunity to turn himself in.

Jennifer Chapman, Public Information Officer for the Plano Police Department, has not yet announced whether Williams has taken this option. Chapman confirmed to the Local Profile, that “there is no plan to find and arrest him.”

Following the crash, Williams missed one game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, the rookie player has since returned to the field and has managed to make a positive impact on the team. Williams has been praised for his energy and his ability to lead the team in the right direction

As for Williams, it remains to be seen if he will accept the misdemeanor charge or if he will face further legal action. In either case, this incident serves as a reminder of the danger of reckless driving and the importance of taking care on the roads.

When asked about the crash, Williams said that he felt “thankful” to have survived. He expressed his faith, saying, “You’re looking at the [totaled] car like, man, but God works in mysterious ways. I know He has something in store for me.”

Williams has had a stellar season, amassing four sacks and three fumble recoveries. His performance has been a testament to his potential for the NFL in the future.
