Bucs HC applauds Shaquil Barrett’s return to practice following personal tragedy: “Shaq is one of the mentally toughest character”

The life of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two Super Bowl Champion linebacker Shaquil Barrett got a standstill point following the departure of his daughter Arrayah Barrett who was the youngest of four children in the Barrett family.

The incident came as an uphill battle for the 30-year-old and soon after the tragic event, many NFL players including his former teammate Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes came forward to console him. However, his recent participation in the team’s activity collected some big words for him from his team’s head coach Todd Bowles.

After two months after the tragic incident, Barrett astonished his team and the NFL world by attending his team’s mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, leaving them to say nothing without giving big applause to him for his strong mentality.

The one who lose his kid knows the pain, yet the Bucs linebacker held himself as an icon by not mixing his personal ups and downs with his professional career. Indeed this quality is not inherited in every player and Todd Bowles is in love with this supernatural quality.

After seeing him on minicamp, the head coach labeled him as “one of the toughest character guys”, felt much relief that the LB is on the way to getting rid of the trauma and also provide assurance to be on his side all time.

“That’s a testament to him,” Bowles said. “Shaq is one of the mentally toughest character guys I know. To have him out here still trying to get ready — I’m sure it’s not easy — but he’s handling it and we’re behind him.”

Among their four children, Saqs and Jordana’s couple lost their youngest one in a pool accident, who is just 2 years old, a few days after the kids’ birthday celebration. Arrayah drowned in their family pool and later was taken to a nearby hospital where she was announced as dead.

The little kid was laid to rest on May 5 at a private funeral in Tampa and after his departure, the linebacker shared an emotionally heartbreaking video of his little angel.

“I miss you sooo much baby girl. I love you please watch over us,” he posted the video with this caption.

The news appeared as a bolt from the blue for the Bucs fans and they shared their grief and condolences with the couple, in addition,  the players’ wife showed her gratitude for them by sharing a touching message for her little fairy.

“Thank you all for all the messages, flowers, thoughts and prayers,” she captioned the Instagram post with a picture of her daughter. “Our world will never be the same. Arrayah was the apple of my eye, and my heart will forever be with hers. I love you so much my baby. I am so so sorry. Until we see each other again, please watch over your siblings and momma and dada. We love you forever and ever and always.

Surely, it is a heartwarming event for the linebacker’s family, hence his mental condition was a major concern for the Buccaneers squad, fortunately, he presented himself as a superhero in this regard.
