Chelsea duo Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo deactivate their X accounts after humiliation at Anfield

Chelsea Football Club has not been the same since Thomas Tuchel left the club. The team has not experienced much success in the Todd Boehly Era. The club has gone through over three managers in the last two years.

The Blues also spent over 1 billion euros in the recent transfer market, which includes two of their costliest signings, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

Fernandez and Caicedo delete X accounts

Fernandez and Caicedo are two of the costliest players in the history of the Chelsea football club. Obviously, the fans had high expectations for the new players. However, as the situation stands, both players have failed to deliver, and the fans have decided not to spare anyone.

Chelsea played against Liverpool at the Anfield and got absolutely dominated by The Reds and this result has left the fans in resentment. As Fernandez and Caicedo are the high-priced players in the squad, they had to deal with the other side of the coin. The Blue Army took to Twitter and exploded with criticism and abuses targeting Fernandez and Caicedo, which apparently got to the heads of the players as they deleted their X accounts.

Chelsea’s PL struggles continue

After the arrival of the new owner Todd Boehly the Chelsea has become very much active in the transfer market. It’s understandable that in Boehly’s first season at the club, the new owner wants to build a new team. However, the signings have not stopped for the last three seasons, both in terms of managers and players. It seems Mr. Boehly believes that the only way to solve a problem in a football team is to sign another individual.

This continuous process of buying and selling players have resulted in the poor performance of the team as it has left the team unsettled. The players lack the chemistry required to perform together as team.

The club that was once regarded as one of the European giant is in absolute turmoil. In the current scenario Chelsea is at the tenth place in the league and will face Liverpool again in Carabao Cup finals. Pochettino has a lot to think ahead of the finals.

Will Chelsea be able turn around their luck in the rest of the season? Let us know in the comments.
