Christian Cage brutally mocks Ric Flair following WWE legend’s first-ever appearance on AEW

Wrestler Christian Cage is among the best in the world right now. In 2023, with Ric Flair’s arrival, it was evident that he had woken from his slumber. His time in both WWE and TNA were quite productive. After recovering from brain ailments, he came out of retirement and joined AEW in 2021. Christian Cage is now giving his greatest performances as the TNT Champion in AEW.

Despite his history in WWE and his current role as a heel in AEW, Cage made a bold shot on Ric Flair on a recent episode of AEW Dynamite. When Ric Flair made his AEW debut, he received some harsh criticism from the legend.

Christian Cage rips Ric Flair

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair made his long-awaited return to AEW, where he was reunited with Sting. Tony Schiavone had an interview with Sting and Darby Allin to kick off the show. Ric Flair made his AEW debut on October 25 thanks to a present from Tony Khan to Sting.

Fans all across the globe were taken aback when Flair gave the impression that he planned to stick around with Sting until the latter’s retirement. This debut was for Sting, who is set to retire next year.

TNT’s champion Christian Cage made a brazen proclamation, ruining the reunion’s mood. When the interruption occurred, Cage didn’t simply stop. He intended to accomplish his goal, which was to issue a challenge to Darby Allin and Sting to compete against each other at Full Gear. Sting agreed to take on the task and said he would find someone to play with.

Cage said, “I also know there is not a God because if there was, Ric Flair would’ve been dead 20 years ago.”

Ric Flair debuts on AEW

When Flair joined Sting and Tony Schiavone in the ring on AEW Dynamite, no one saw it coming. He spoke highly of Sting, recalling their 1988 bout. When Ric Flair tried to continue, Christian Cage cut him off, made fun of him, and challenged Sting and Darby Allin to a three-on-three bout. Thanks to Cage’s heel persona that kicked the show overall. Sting agreed, saying they would find an ally to help them take on Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne.

The arrival of Flair to AEW was much anticipated. After his divorce from Chavo Guerrero in 2021, he may take over the management of his son-in-law, Andrade El Idolo.

The reaction to the Dark Side of the Ring episode about the “Plane Ride from Hell” in 2002 caused the cancellation of the event. During the show, Flair was the target of several accusations.
