CJ Mosley surprised as Browns fans cheer for Joe Flacco after he secures Cleveland’s playoffs berth: “That sh*t crazy”

Despite the longstanding rivalry between the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, Joe Flacco seems to be an exception amid the feud between fanbases. Instrumental in the Ravens’ Super Bowl triumphs in the past, Flacco has recently been a significant part of the Browns’ victories under Kevin Stefanski.

Now playing for the Browns, the fans of the franchise didn’t take long to bury the hatchet and embraced the QB with open arms. Even Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley, formerly Flacco’s teammate, expressed disbelief at his warm reception by fans.

CJ Mosley shocked by Browns fans support to Joe Flacco

In a game where Joe Flacco played a key role, Browns fans showed support by chanting his name, “Fla-cco, Fla-cco.” CJ Mosley, witnessing Browns fans cheering for Flacco, expressed shock and disbelief. He verbalized his surprise, saying, “Who would’ve thought the f–king Browns would be screaming your name? That s–t crazy.”

Mosley’s words emphasized the unexpected nature of Browns fans supporting Flacco, given the historical rivalry between the Ravens and the Browns. The surprise stems from the fact that rival teams’ fans usually do not support former players from their rivals, making this show of support unusual and unexpected.

Mosley used strong language, “That s*** crazy” to underline the rarity and unexpectedness of Browns fans rallying behind a former Ravens player.

CJ Mosley’s astonishment arises from witnessing Browns fans passionately supporting Joe Flacco, a player with a significant history with the Ravens, their traditional rivals.

Joe Flacco leads Browns to NFL playoffs

Quarterback Joe Flacco, who was considered underrated, played a pivotal role in leading the Browns to the playoffs, contributing significantly to their 11-5 record. This marks the Browns’ first postseason appearance since 2020 and only their third since 1999, adding historical significance to the achievement.

Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski acknowledged the special night for the organization and the fans, celebrating the victory and playoff berth.

The Browns dominated the New York Jets from the start, with Flacco throwing three touchdown passes in the first half, including a 7-yard strike to running back Jerome Ford on the opening drive.

Flacco’s exceptional performance included passing for 296 yards in the first half, setting a personal record. He has consistently thrown for over 300 yards in each victory during the Browns’ four-game winning streak.

After the game, CJ Mosley also expressed to Flacco how remarkable it is to hear rival fans, in this case, Browns fans, cheering for him. This suggests a newfound appreciation for Flacco’s skills.

“Everybody always joked, even in Baltimore, was he elite?”, Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley said of Flacco. “He’s showing it. Not a lot of guys, especially veterans like him and his age, just coming from home, hanging with his kids, do what he’s done. I told him after the game it’s crazy to hear the Browns fans screaming, ‘Flacco!’ That was pretty wild to me, but I’m happy for him. Obviously we wanted to get the win, but just as a friend, as a fan, I’m definitely happy for him.”

The LB’s exceptional performance impressed everyone, including the Browns fans which astonished CJ Mosley.
