Why is former Ravens QB Joe Flacco underrated? looking at his legendary stats compared to Drew Brees, Peyton Manning

In the competitive landscape of the NFL, players often find it difficult to establish their name, given the number of promising youngsters being drafted every year along with the presence of the veteran players.

While many footballers have already earned many titles from fans, many other players didn’t manage to land the necessary recognition despite showcasing phenomenal athleticism. The former Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Joe Flacco is arguably one of them.

Over time, veteran QBs like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Montana, and Drew Brees as well as young players like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen have managed to win the fan’s hearts, however, Joe has been ignored in the elite list.

Why is former Ravens QB Joe Flacco underrated?

The Good Morning Football host Peter Schrager identified Flacco as one of his top-five most underrated QBs of all time in 2022. The ex-Tennessee Titans star Steve McNair tops Peter’s list, followed by Otto Graham and Jim Plunkett. The former Cincinnati Bengals QB Ken Anderson rounds out the list behind Joe.

The former Baltimore Ravens star had a record of 99-84 throughout his career. He had been Baltimore’s QB1 from 2008 all the way to the 2018 season, leading them to win the AFC North twice, and winning Super Bowl XLVII beating the San Francisco 49ers following the 2012 season.

The NFL star’s performance began to diminish by 2017 and he later revealed how even his kids don’t see him as an elite player while appearing on One Jets Drive show last year.
