Cristiano Ronaldo and his team, Al-Nassr, were dealt two devastating blows after the club got knocked out of the King Cup of Champions semifinals as well as dropping points on the Saudi League table. Amid all the disappointing performances, the club president has decided to step down from his position.

According to reports, Musalli Al-Muammar, chairman of the club’s board of directors, has officially handed out his resignation from the presidency of the club to the Ministry of Sports.

Al-Mumammar was the successor of Safwan Al-Suwaiket as the president of Al Nassr. He took charge of the club in April 2021, and has played a vital role in the club’s signing of five times Ballon d’Or Winner, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
