Days after landing in hot waters for controversial Chinese deal, Kyrie Irving leaves fans in disbelief by coming second to $25,000,000 Hollywood actor

The Dallas Mavericks superstar Kyrie Irving is famous for his marvelous ball handling skills, being a great shooter and scorer as well. His jelly layups make the crowd go bananas.

Kyrie is an 8-time All Star, a 3-time member of the All-NBA team and even won a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. His fancy handles and ability to finish has won the hearts of numerous NBA fans. Despite being a fantastic player, whose performances does not go unnoticed, Kyrie also draws a lot of attention from his controversies, this time losing to Michael B. Jordan in a 3-point shooting challenge.

Kyrie Irving loses to Michael B. Jordan

Kyrie Irving recently lost in a shooting contest to actor Michael B. Jordan. The NBA Abu Dhabi games have attracted many celebrities from different backgrounds and industries although it’s just the pre-season games. One such famous celebrity is the star of the “Creed” movie series Michael B. Jordan.

Michael B. Jordan made the crowd explode with excitement when he called up the 8-time NBA All-Star onto the court and then proceeded to take part in a 3-point shooting contest with the Mavs guard. “Where’s Kai at? Kyrie come on”, he called.

Although an NBA player competing with an actor doesn’t seem like a fair contest, the shooting challenge had its twist and turns making it more fun for the audience. In the contest Michael B. Jordan showed off his skills with his nothing but net shooting abilities. His shot was smooth, and his form looked pretty good too. Kyrie shot using his left hand and apparently it didn’t go as well as he had expected.

The competition was just a friendly one and of course Kyrie Irving knew that, because trying to defeat Kyrie in a real contest would be like trying to climb Mt Everest, especially when one has no former experience. The most important thing is that Kyrie, Jordan and the fans, all had fun and enjoyed. Kyrie declared Jordan as the winner of the contest.

Irving’s deal earns NBA warning from US Congress

Kyrie Irving made a deal earlier this year with a Chinese apparel company called Anta, which marked his first sneaker partnership with a company after his Nike contract ended amidst his controversies in New York. That deal also made Irving the chief creative officer at ANTA, a Chinese apparel giant worth more than $30 billion.

Reportedly, ANTA has been directly linked to “crimes against humanity” and a “genocide” by the Chinese government when it comes to forced labor by Uyghur Muslims and the United States government warned the NBA about it.
