This season alone, having played 34 games and counting, James is averaging 25.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists. Considering that he stays healthy throughout the season and maintains this scoring consistency, there’s a high chance of achieving this feat sooner than later.
The former Lakers coach, Byron Scott, makes a loud prophesy that predicts that James would not only breach this milestone but also set a record that is unlikely to be broken in our lifetime. “I think that he’ll get to the point where he’ll have over 40,000 points in this league, and I don’t think that it will be broken, especially in our lifetime,” said Scott.
