‘‘End YouTube boxing’’: Tommy Fury intends to serve same fate to KSI as he did to Jake Paul

Tommy Fury, who rose to fame as a Love Island contestant and happens to be the brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has made a bold declaration to dismantle the influencer boxing scene within a year.

With a victory over Jake Paul already under his belt, Fury now sets his sights on fighting KSI, and he anticipates that the bout will be arranged in the near future.

“Everybody knows what’s next for me, it’s being teased at the minute. Hopefully, we can get this KSI fight over the line and I’ll knock off another YouTuber,” he told Sky Sports.

Recently, ‘TNT’ attended York Hall to show support for his brother, Roman Fury, who was participating in his second professional bout. On the same card, Viddal Riley, a professional fighter with a presence on YouTube, is set to have a rematch against Anees Taj, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. Despite Riley’s background, Tommy does not consider him a prospective opponent in the ring.

Is Tommy Fury vs KSI confirmed?

John Fury, the father, and trainer of undefeated prospect Tommy, has revealed that a deal for a long-awaited grudge fight with Youtuber-turned-boxer KSI is nearing completion.

In the previous month, Fury was present at ringside to witness KSI’s bout against unbeaten professional fighter Joe Fournier. Initially, KSI was declared the winner by second-round knockout.

However, after multiple replays, it was evident that Fournier had been knocked out by an illegal elbow strike, leading to the result being overturned and changed to a no-contest.

Following the conclusion of the fight, Tommy entered the ring and confronted KSI, engaging in a face-to-face confrontation. The exchange quickly escalated, resulting in a physical altercation before they were separated.

Fury Sr. has been engaged in discussions with promoter Kalle Sauerland, who represents KSI, to finalize the details of the highly anticipated matchup.

Is Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul rematch scheduled?

In February, Tommy stepped into the ring and secured a victory by unanimous decision over Jake, a fellow social media personality who transitioned into boxing.

Although Paul had initially intended to activate an immediate rematch clause. He ultimately opted to finalize a bout with MMA star Nate Diaz scheduled for August 5th.

However, Fury does anticipate a rematch with Jake down the line, foreseeing that the highly anticipated bout will indeed materialize.

“I’ve said my hitlist. Jake Paul’s already been struck off, KSI is next,” Fury declared. “Then from what I’ve seen the other day, Jake Paul wants it again in February. Listen, I’m happy. I’m happy keep these fights rolling in.”
