However, Haaland has now dumped the idea of them playing together, not in real life of course, but in EAFC 24. Haaland, who is also the face of EAFC 24, has dropped Ronaldo for his cousin Jonatan Braut Brunes. Many see this as a bizarre thing to do, but Haaland has chosen his bloodline over the legendary striker.

Erling Haaland, since his breakout in European football, has been one of the best players in the world, given him many accolades, the runners up in this year’s Ballon d’or ceremony, and also the tag of being the cover star of EAFC 24.
Haaland has been awarded a rating of 94 in one of the cards, the same as Ronaldo’s icon card. While many would pair the two up even with closed eyes, Haaland himself had another plan.
The Manchester City striker has picked his cousin Jonatan Braut Brunes, who is rated at 85 in the particular card, over the legendary Brazilian, and has left a soft “Sorry @Ronaldo have to drop you for my cousin @jonatanbrunes” in his Instagram story.
His cousin Jonatan Brunes, who also plays as a center forward, currently plays for Belgian club OH Leuven.
Haaland leads 2023 scoring charts
Erling Haaland has been full of entertainment this whole year, from his dressing room antics to his face off with the referees. While many argue over his Ballon d’Or contention with Lionel Messi, no one contends that he is not the best striker in the world right now. Haaland, more importantly, has the stats to prove the same.
Haaland leads the goalscoring charts in 2023, with 50 goals to his name. He is just one goal above three other extraordinary talents in Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo. Haaland, who is himself a Real Madrid target, just edges former Real Madrid man Cristiano Ronaldo and another Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappe.
