Busquets was asked about his move to the USA, to which he replied, “it’s a lot easier when it’s a country like the United States and a city like Miami. The American lifestyle is a dream for everyone. They do everything big here. Your possibilities are endless. All those things add up and it makes it possible for you to have the very best for yourself and your kids.”
However, the midfielder said other factors were also important while making his decision. He added, “Especially with Leo, who was finishing his contract [with PSG] and who had some doubts about staying in Europe or facing something new away from Europe. I had more clarity.” It is good to see budding mates get together and that is exactly what Busquets underlined. “We’re happy and looking forward to settling here as soon as possible because change can be a bit stressful at the start, but we’re really happy,” he concluded.

Miami signs legendary Barcelona midfielder Busquets
Inter Miami always had the ambition to sign the best players of the world in the latter stages of their career which they are able to fulfill now. The club will now hope they can turn the tie in the MLS season, and can qualify for the playoffs come the end of the year.
“I am excited to welcome Sergio Busquets to Inter Miami,” Miami owner Jorge Mas said. “Since day one we have set out to bring the world’s best players. Sergio’s repertoire speaks for itself.”
Sergio Busquets will be a player for the Miami-based MLS club for the next 2 years along with Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba. After moving away from the Luis Suarez move for this transfer window, the MLS side can very well add the striker to their squad after his contract ends at Gremio next year.
