On WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes returned to confront Kevin Owens after his actions at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Their heated exchange led to a big announcement: a ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Royal Rumble 2025.

Tensions soared when Owens shoved WWE official Nick Aldis into Rhodes and landed cheap shots on his former ally. While going out from the arena, holding the Winged Eagle Belt, Owens declared, “I’m the true champ! I’m the true champ! I’m the true.. I’m the true champion! See you at the Rumble, b!”
