Former Cody Rhodes adversary to feature on July 17th Episode of Monday Night RAW

Cody Rhodes is currently one of the top babyfaces in WWE. Since making his comeback at WrestleMania 38, The American Nightmare has gained significant popularity among the WWE Universe.

According to the reports emerged, Rhodes is also slated to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2023. The Beast Incarnate had recently returned to Raw and attacked Cody which seemingly confirms their upcoming trilogy match. However, one of the opponents from Cody Rhodes’s last run in the company will go to feature on the 17th July episode of WWE Raw.

“Green Arrow” star Stephen Amell is set to be part of Monday Night Raw’s 17th July episode

Recently, The popular known as Green Arrow aka Stephen Amell has announced that he is going to be part of WWE Raw again. He marked 17th July as his returning edition of WWE Raw. He announced his return through his Facebook account which generated mixed reactions among the WWE Universe.

Some of the fans believed that it may be the idea of The American Nightmare itself, as Amell also appeared in All Elite Wrestling Promotion when Cody was there. However, this will not be the first time when the Green Arrow is coming to Monday Night Raw. Back in 2015, he attacked Stardust while jumping through the barricades during Raw.

Amell faced Cody Rhodes in SummerSlam 2015

The Green Arrow had also faced Cody Rhodes’s Stardust gimmick at SummerSlam 2015. The feud started on 10 August 2015 when Stardust aka Cody Rhodes goes to the barricade to provoke the Green Arrow to pick a fight against him. Stephen Amell jumped from the crowd barricades and started assaulting Stardust which later on turns into a match at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Being an actor, the company had put him into a tag team match where Neville accompanied him against Rhodes & Wade Barret. Both the Green Arrow and currently AEW star PAC had picked the victory after an entertaining tag team action.

Talking about his acting carrier, Amell is currently promoting the second season of his TV show named Heels, which will premiere on the Starz network on July 28, 2023.

However, early in June during an interview, The Green confirmed that he is working with WWE regarding a project. As we are on the road to SummerSlam 2023, it will be interesting to see if the Stamford Based Promotion is planning to have another match of Stephen Amell at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
