Frank Warren confirms heavyweight David Adeleye’s comeback in 2023

The undefeated British boxer David Adeleye is set to face the Ukrainian fighter Dmytro Bezus at the main event of the York Hall card on February 17, 2023, and on the same card, the IBF European lightweight champion Mark Chamberlain will square off against Italian Vairo Lenti.

Prior to the exciting boxing event, the owner of Queensberry Promotions, Frank Warren, has confirmed the return of Adeleye and said that this is a great opportunity for him to show his skills.

“This is a great opportunity for Mark Chamberlain and David Adeleye to enjoy top billing at York Hall.”

Big D was injured last year, which is why he only fought twice in 2022: once against Chris Healey and once against Elvis Garcia. Both times, he knocked out his opponent, but his promoter believes that this year he has to fight hard because he missed so many fights last year.

“I expect both of them to really push on this year and reinforce their status as two of the leading prospects in the country and this will be an important night for them after missing out on fights last year due to injury.”

Warren even set a goal for Adeleye, 26, to focus on British titles in the coming days, which he had to push himself to achieve.

“I believe it is a realistic aim for both Mark and David to be hunting down British titles in the near future and I am confident they would be successful in this.”

In the same interview, the founder of BoxNation mentioned some emerging names in British boxing who he hopes to see shine in the coming years.

“I am also looking forward to checking out the progress of Ezra Taylor, Amaar Akbar, Adan Mohamed and Aloys Jr, who are all showing promising signs and are quickly becoming ones to watch.”
