Pat won the 2023 ESPY award for the Best Male Athlete by overshadowing Nikola Jokic, Aaron Judge, and Lionel Messi. He also got the title of ESPY Award for Best NFL Player. The NFL star arrived on the red carpet for the 2023 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles along with his wife Brittany Mahomes.

He thanked his fellow teammates, coaches, and all the fans as well as voiced optimism to continue the winning streak in the upcoming season as well,

“It was an incredible season. There was many ups, many downs. I appreciate my teammates, my coaches, the guys that are here. I go back to camp next Tuesday, so this is a great award. But we’re going to do this thing again, we’re going to keep this thing rolling.”

Patrick won the ESPY for Best NFL Player for the second time now. He won the award for the first time in 2019 after ending the Chiefs’ 50-year Super Bowl drought by bringing the highly-awaiting Lombardi trophy to Kansas City. He won his first MVP title in that season as well.

Nevertheless, the QB has won the Best Male Athlete ESPY again this year after beating some highly renowned faces in the sports world. He is the first NFL player to earn the feat since Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ former QB Tom Brady in 2021. Former New Orleans Saints Drew Brees earned the award in 2010.
