The former heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, has been considering his next move following his departure from the UFC earlier this year. One option on the table is a potential deal with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions. The YouTube personality has reportedly had discussions regarding signing the Cameroonian star with Ngannou himself expressing interest in the possibility of working with Paul.
“We have talked,” Paul told TMZ Sports. “The Most Valuable Promotions team, we talked to Francis. We think we can do a great job for him. We share the same vision on a lot of things. Hopefully, Francis sees that as well, but regardless, we’re always going to be there to support him. On the MMA side of things, we’re working on something too.”
Earlier this year, Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, chose to vacate his title and leave the organization as a free agent. Since then, Ngannou has received numerous offers, including from MMA promotions PFL and Bellator, and has even had discussions with former boxing world champion Deontay Wilder.
YouTube personality Jake Paul, who operates his very own boxing promotion called Most Valuable Promotions, has expressed interest in signing Ngannou and has already initiated talks regarding a potential offer.
Francis Ngannou extends a hand toward Jake Paul
According to recent reports, Francis has expressed his willingness to collaborate with Jake. He anticipates a prompt resolution to his future prospects as a result.
“It depends on where I am but I do think we can work together [with Jake Paul],” Ngannou also told TMZ Sports on working with the influencer. “Also speaking of the PFL I have had a conversation with them too, so yes this is something in the near future that could happen very quick.”
Despite being 36 years old, Francis has expressed his desire to continue competing in MMA. He has also shown interest in taking on lucrative boxing matches in addition to his endeavors in the octagon. Ngannou is known for his devastating punching power, which he believes would enable him to compete with the best of the best boxers like Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder in the ring.
