“It’s been a dream for sure”: Jets QB Aaron Rodgers thrilled with new team after eighteen “beautiful” years in Packers

After spending eighteen “beautiful” years with the Green Bay Packers, the legendary NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers is excited about his new team, the New York Jets, and expressed his excitement about the move in a recent interview.

Aaron’s long-awaited trade saga saw an end as the Packers successfully traded their veteran QB to the Jets on April 24 in exchange for a 2023 first-round pick, a 2023 second-round pick, a 2023 sixth-round pick, and a conditional 2024 second-round pick.

What did Aaron Rodgers say about his new experience with the New York Jets?

The Jets’ newly acquired legend Aaron Rodgers made a surprise appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, the first time since he announced his intention to play for the franchise in mid-March, and discussed what the first few days have been like as a Jet member.

“It’s been great. Everything’s new. It’s like the first day of school every single day. There’s new people to meet. Gotta figure out your routine, where the laundry loads go, mail, cleats and weight room shoes and all the stuff”, he said.

The four-time MVP went on to say playing for Gang Green had been a cherished “dream” for him.

“Everything’s new and exciting and fun. I’m just pinching myself a lot of the days. I can’t believe it’s real sometimes. It’s been a dream for sure just to be here”, Rodgers added.

The 39-year-old bid adieu to his long-time home Green Bay and its fans by posting a series of photos of his 18 years tenure with the franchise and again stated in yesterday’s appearance nothing in his new team can wipe away nearly two decades of memories with the Packers.

” [I] definitely feel energized to be in the building. That takes nothing away from the 18 beautiful years I spent in Green Bay. How can you ask for anything better than that in just such a special place to play? But 18 years, you also get used to everything. Everything’s just kinda the same old, same old in a lot of ways, which has its beauty for sure”, he further cited.

Aaron was snapped having fun celebrating a Rangers win on Saturday with his new teammate’s wide receiver Allen Lazard and running back Breece Hall at MSG, and chatting with Spike Lee from his courtside seat at the Knicks game.

The Jets have struggled in the last several years as they haven’t had a winning season since 2015 and haven’t reached the playoffs since the 2010 campaign, however, Rodgers’ presence could give the team the boost it needs to turn things around like the NFL GOAT Tom Brady turned the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from a loser to the league winner in his first season with the franchise.

With Aaron at the heart of his new destination as his new journey begins to take shape in the Big Apple, fans can surely hope to see their second Lombardi trophy in the near future.
