Heat hosted the Celtics on Sunday to write the latest chapter in their storied rivalry. The match sure didn’t disappoint as the Celtics outlasted last year’s NBA Championship finalists by a mere 4 points. But the match had one talking point where tempers flared involving Jaylen Brown, and Duncan Robinson.

With emotions running high, the duo got involved in an unsavory moment. It didn’t take long for the clips to go viral on social media. Both the players had their own explanation which paved the way for an interesting post-match presser.

Jaylen Brown calls out Duncan Robinson for the flagrant foul

The rivals of the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, faced each other in Kaseya Center. The match had some twists and dramas in the fourth quarter of the game.

Jaylen Brown and Duncan Robinson got into a messy situation with 7:54 minutes remaining, when their arms got locked. The shooter tried to get him off, but Brown was seen throwing Duncan to the hardboard. Duncan remained on the floor for some time holding his left shoulder. After a review, the 27-year-old was given a flagrant-1 foul while the forward received a foul too for a personal attack.

“I think he knew exactly what he was trying to do,” a disappointed Brown said. Justifying himself he said, “He was trying to get tangled up, etcetera, because he didn’t want to play defense and they called a foul but he was still trying to hang on and I wanted to get my arm free.”

There were heated arguments going on between the two in the game. Without holding back Brown said, “I bet you he won’t do it again”. Brown who currently holds the most expensive contract in NBA history, managed to get 20 points, with 9 rebounds and 2 assists in the 37 minutes played in Celtics win.

Duncan Robinson upset with Jaylen Brown incident

The Miami forward Duncan Robinson got upset with the foul play of Jaylen Brown in the game. In a post-match interview, Robinson described the foul as excessive, stating that he attempted to disengage but ended up falling to the ground. The unhappy 29-year-old said, “I thought it was a dirty play. That’s how people miss whole seasons.” He went on to say how the NBA players suffer from injuries because of such acts.

Robinson got 15 points playing for 32 minutes. The Boston Celtics ended up winning the match by 110-106 and are on the top of the Conference table whereas the Heat are on the 8th position.

With the race for postseason spots at a critical juncture, both will move on to their next game with the prize in mind only. But one thing is for sure, Heat vs Celtics never disappoints.
