Since the Bad Blood event, Kevin Owens’ relationship with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton has gotten worse. Since Rhodes represents WWE as a champion, Owens’ connection with the company also grew tense over time.
Things got even more heated after SNME as WWE didn’t invite Owens to the RAW Netflix Kickoff event. This led “The Prizefighter” to crash the show anyway.
Kevin Owens made a bold statement after attacking Cody Rhodes with a package piledriver at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Now, claiming he’s the new WWE Champion, Owens showed up at WWE RAW’s Netflix kickoff event uninvited, holding the Winged Eagle championship. WWE shared his unexpected arrival on Twitter, where Owens crashed the press conference and declared, “The true WWE Champion is here!”
Owens grabbed a microphone and told the crowd, “How is it that the true WWE Champion has to sneak in? Terrible security, by the way, and steal a microphone to be a part of this? I belong here. I am your WWE Champion.”

His words shocked everyone, including commentator Michael Cole, who called him “delusional.” Security quickly removed Owens, but not before he announced he’d defend the title at the Holiday Live Event in Jacksonville on December 26.
Interestingly, Owens didn’t have a scheduled appearance at the event and even teased his appearance by sharing a photoshopped image that erased Cody Rhodes.

Kevin Owens shared a bold post on his X account, calling himself the “True WWE Champion” and promising to defend the title during WWE’s holiday tour. Before the Netflix Raw Kickoff event, he shared a photoshopped image on social media wearing Cody Rhodes’s outfit with the Winged Eagle Title.
In his tweet, “The Prizefighter” wrote, “Now that I have your attention, I have great news for you all! I am proud to officially announce that I will be competing in my first matches as your new, true WWE Champion on this year’s Holiday loop starting in Jacksonville on the 26th.
