PSG was matched against Bayern Munich in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. Despite their heavy spending in the summer they failed to get past the German giants in the knockout tie.
This brought into scrutiny the relationship of their superstar attacking trio Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr, and Kylian Mbappe and whether the trio might have played their last games as these trio.
How is Kylian Embappe’s current state of relationship with Messi-Neymar?
Reports have suggested that Mbappe is no longer on speaking terms with 4 members of the PSG squad which includes his French compatriot Presnel Kimpembe and his attacking partners Messi and Neymar.
The other one is Marco Verrati which seems to stem from jealousy. Marco Verrati was the Qatari owner’s favorite asset before the arrival of Mbappe. The Italian feels no longer the favorite of the owners and he blames Mbappe for it.

With the reported rift between the trio, it is suggested Mbappe regrets his decision to extend his stay at the Parisian outfit. He was heavily linked to Real Madrid last summer with some reports saying Mbappe had verbally agreed on the bumper contract from head honcho Perez.
But a call from French President Emmanuel Macron and a bumper pay rise to ā¬100m a year swayed his decision to stay at the French capital.
What could be next for the trio?
PSG owners have also been quoted to let Neymar leave due to his inability to lead the squad to Champions League glory despite being the most expensive transfer ever for a whopping ā¬222m leaving Barcelona in the process.
Neymar has been linked to a move to the Premier League through Chelsea. It is said Todd Boehly is a massive fan of the Brazilian forward and would love to bring him to the London club. He has already invested heavily in the club but it shows signs of stopping.
As for Lionel Messi, the Argentine’s future at the Parc De Princes went into uncertainty after his side’s failure. It remains uncertain whether Messi will remain at the club beyond the summer of 2023.

Messi has multiple options. He could choose to remain at PSG and stack up league titles. He could choose to go back to his former side Barcelona but that seems very unlikely at this point. He could also choose to take up a new challenge in the USA with Inter Miami.
Kylian Mbappe is thought to be looking for a way to re-engineer his Real Madrid anyhow due to his poor relationships with the Argentine and Brazilian. What do you think?
