“Maybe he’s is not ready mentally, physically” Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter accuses Tyson Fury of rejecting latest offer

Tyson Fury Vs Oleksandr Usyk has already brewed storms in tea cups. The situation seems to be deteriorating further as Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk has ripped “The Gypsy King” apart. He made allegations against the heavyweight maverick that he’s shying away from the bout.

What transpired between Usyk and Fury?

In light of recent events, Alex seems to have had enough of Fury’s negotiations. Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has set a deadline for the discussions until this weekend. Krassyuk, on the other hand, has made it clear that the offer is on the table. Fury might have to look away if he still pushes to negotiate out of this deal – claimed Alex.

The Ukrainian can’t seem to reason with the fact that Fury broke a verbal pact. Usyk’s outspoken promoter claimed that Fury initially agreed to a 50/50 purse split. Since then, Fury has repeatedly asked for a greater share of the purse every time a negotiation took place.

Krassyuk and Usyk have reasons to be irked. Usyk has been speculated to fight it off with Fury for the undisputed heavyweight championship. What could be the biggest heavyweight bout in recent years might be jeopardized by Fury’s incessant demands for an increased share of the purse. Krassyuk took it to press to reveal that Fury turned down a 60/40 split going to the victorious fighter.

Oleksandr Usyk's promoter

What did Usyk’s promoter say about Tyson Fury?

In an interview with talkSPORT, Alex claimed that they didn’t strike any figure in the deal. Just to ensure the fight they offered a purse split. But the negotiations always seemed to have struck a wall as Fury kept striking a figure. Krassyuk feels that it’s a blatant attempt to run away from the fight. He feels that this is the behavior of a fighter who doesn’t want to eventually get in the ring.

And Alex understands why Fury might be fearful of Usyk. Oleksandr currently is a unified champion who has held the IBF, WBF, and WBO heavyweight titles since 2021. Fury and Usyk have both had success over Anthony Joshua in recent years. However, Fury has been out of the ring for quite some time. Precisely why the Kyiv native feels that Fury is afraid to lock horns with Usyk as Tyson is grossly out of shape, and he doesn’t feel confident about his physical prowess at this point in his career.

This is exactly why Krassyuk finds it baffling that Fury keeps upping his monetary claims. It will be a travesty if this fight doesn’t go down in the end for a reason like this.
