Despite his skill on the basketball court, Irving never stops pushing himself off the court. Recently, Irving, who has consistently contributed generously to deserving causes, gave a Flint, Michigan water crisis activist a $50,000 donation.

Irving donates $50k to Mari Copeny

Mari Copeny’s fundraiser received a $50,000 donation from Kyrie Irving. Copeny has been collecting money and delivering clean water to the city since she was eight years old. Through her project, which provides residents with filters to ensure safe water, she has distributed an estimated 100 million bottles of water to date.

Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks contributed $50,000 to the GoFundMe page this week, bringing it closer to the $1 million target by $200,000. Moreover, Kyrie Irving gave the money without saying anything on social media. Among the 23,516 other donations that had been shared, fans noticed his contribution.

Kyrie Irving has continued to regularly and covertly donate to GoFundMe accounts. On December 21, 2022, a NetsDaily article stated that Irving had contributed a minimum of $496,000 to various GoFundMe initiatives. Fans support his efforts to use his wealth to change the world, which needs more compassion.

“I am grateful everyday that GOD put me through all of those tests over the past few years. I was called everything under the sun, as I attempted to bring light to the atrocities/tragedies happening around the world,” Irving tweeted a week ago. “I still have more work to do.”
