Against Vasiliy Lomachenko tonight, Devin Haney defended his undisputed lightweight crown. However, Shakur Stevenson challenged Haney to face him next for the next big challenge.

What did Shakur Stevenson say to Devin Haney?

While watching from the ringside, Shakur delighted in the 12-round battle between Dream and Loma. Shakur is now keeping a careful eye on Haney’s 135-pound title while closely observing the bout. Haney won’t be able to defeat Stevenson in the ring, but Stevenson is certain in that.

The two division world champion called out after Haney by saying, “Let’s make it happen. I think that should happen next. Devin’s not on my level and I’m going to show it.”

Shakur is also in excellent form, as evidenced by the April 8 main-card fight at the Prudential Center in New Jersey featuring Shuichiro Yoshino and Shakur. The hometown favorite wowed the Newark audience by overwhelming the Japanese boxer by technical knockout in round six of the ESPN main event. Hence believes he can replicate his performance against Devin.

“I feel like he’s a tough fighter, but there’s a high skill level within me and I feel like he’s not on my level. Bill (Haney) called me out after my last fight, so now I’m here, and they ran out of the ring. They got a little scared.” Shakur said.

Shakur’s thoughts on Dream’s win against Loma

A highly anticipated lightweight boxing bout between Dream and Loma took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Haney got a unanimous decision victorie by scores of 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113. However, according to Stevenson Vasiliy should’ve been the winner.

“Lomachenko should be undisputed champion, he won. He won that fight. He landed the cleaner punches, landed the cleaner shots. He pushed the pace.” Shakur added.
