After achieving massive success on the pitch and establishing himself as one of the greatest ever to grace the soccer pitch, Lionel Messi will now be entering the small screen via an animated Netflix series.

After his archrival Cristiano Ronaldo‘s girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez shared her real-life story in an animated series, she received a remuneration of 10 million euros from the popular streaming service Netflix. The show is called I Am Georgina, and it has been quite successful, given that it has the Portuguese superstar’s name on it.

How much will Netflix pay Lionel Messi?

Messi’s deal with Netflix will be worth at least 50% more than what Georgian received.

The deal isn’t on paper yet, and according to many speculations, the final amount will be worth 15 million euros. The reason behind this could be the Argentine’s 2022 World Cup-winning performance. Messi was sensational in the tournament, which ended Argentina’s 36-year World Cup drought.

This show will be Messi’s third audiovisual. The show will be covering the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s lifestyle, his early days, his rise to fame, and his World Cup achievements and failures. According to La Prensa, it is not quite clear yet that Messi will voice his character by himself.
