Subsequently, he extended his goal tally to 23 goals with 16 assists in a total of 48 appearances in all competitions in Brazil. 

The Uruguayan became the only player, aside from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, to secure the Spanish Golden Boot-Pichichi Award, scoring 40 goals in the 2015-16 season. 

As a former Champions League winner with Barcelona, showcasing his scoring abilities, he remains as sharp as he was in his prime days. Despite struggling with fitness and injury concerns, he certainly hasn’t declined and could potentially add strength to the forward lines of Inter Miami.
