Mercedes Mone’s higher pay request than Charlotte Flair could reshape standards for stars including Becky Lynch

Sasha Banks, aka Mercedes Mone, might return to WWE in the near future. Mercedes has not stepped into a WWE ring since May 15th, 2022, when she teamed with Naomi at a live event.

The Boss is ready to return for the company, but at a price that includes millions of dollars and might be the highest amount ever paid to a WWE female wrestler.

Mercedes Mone aiming for more than Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair, aka The Queen, recently signed a new WWE contract for a time extension, and it is reportedly the biggest amount of money ever paid within the company’s history. It appears that Sasha Banks wants even more than the Queen. Some fans are under the belief that if WWE accepts this, it might affect future contract negotiations with stars such as Becky Lynch.

In the recent episode of The Hump, it was revealed that Mercedes Mone and her pursuit of a lucrative contract include a hefty paycheck. According to reports from Fightful, it was Mone’s demand that she be paid financially an amount that exceeded the compensation received by Charlotte Flair in her recently negotiated deal with WWE.

The caption read, “We revealed on today’s episode of The Hump that word within the industry was that Mercedes Mone’s asking price was above what we heard Charlotte got on her new WWE deal.”

AEW star urges Tony Khan to sign Mone for 10 million

As of now, Mercedes Mone is a free agent for any company out there and has been absent from in-ring action since May 21. Mone has not wrestled since May after breaking her ankle during a match with Willow Nightingale. As she recovers from the ankle injury, it appears that wrestling fans want to see her very soon. The big question is whether she will be wrestling WWE or AEW.

In November, AEW star Danhausen wrote a message to AEW’s founder, Tony Khan, by referring to a clip of Mercedes training inside a ring, showing off that she’s putting in the effort for her eventual return. The Very Nice, Very Evil is one person who would love to see Mercedes Mone join the AEW roster. He asked Tony directly to sign the former WWE Champion for $10 million.

The caption was, “Tony give Mercedes 10 mil. Danhausen will give up the blimp”.

Fans hope that Mercedes Mone might make a WWE return as Sasha Banks, especially at the 2024 Royal Rumble on January 27th at Tropicana Field.
