Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. could potentially be making a return to his former club, FC Barcelona, according to sources.
The Catalan club has been dealt a huge blow after Lionel Messi decided to join MLS club Inter Miami FC, as bringing back their best player ever to the Camp Nou was Barcelona’s top priority.
Now, as they attempt to bolster their squad after Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba decided to part ways, and Gerrard Pique retired from soccer, Neymar Jr. has reportedly offered himself to his former club.

Neymar Jr. wishes to reunite with former club Barcelona
The 31-year-old played for Barça for four seasons (2013-2017) before leaving for PSG in a record-breaking €222 million transfer. His time in the French capital has not been without its challenges, and a breakup may be in the cards this summer.
According to SPORT, the 31-year-old is keen to make a return to Camp Nou and is even willing to go as far as lowering his salary in order to make it happen. Neymar is currently one of the highest-paid soccer players in the world, with a weekly salary that is north of $1,000,000.

Barcelona has suffered from a severe financial crisis in recent times, and is in no position to be able to afford such high wages. Neymar’s determination to leave Paris Saint-Germain shows here, as he is reportedly ready to undertake a severe pay cut.
However, Neymar still has two more years of his contract remaining, and Barcelona might not be able to comprehend the demands PSG will be making for the Brazilian.
Messi’s move to Inter Miami leaves Spanish outfit to scramble for plan B
Barça has made it abundantly clear that they want to add a star player to their roster this summer. Earlier, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta made a vow to bring Lionel Messi back to Camp Nou following his contract expiration at Paris Saint-Germain. That didn’t seem to quite work out, after the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner opted to make a switch to MLS and joined David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
