As part of the trade, the Browns will receive Smith along with two future draft picks, while they will send two future fifth-round picks to the Vikings. He has also restructured his contract and will be guaranteed $11.75 million in 2023, after which he will become a free agent in 2024.
Smith will join Myles Garrett as the Browns’ edge-rushing tandem, replacing the inconsistent Jadeveon Clowney, who failed to live up to expectations in his two seasons with Cleveland.
