Panthers rookie QB Bryce Young draws inspiration from Tom Brady’s wise words ahead of new NFL season

The Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young is set to embark on his first national football league season with newfound motivation, thanks to the sage advice of retired NFL GOAT Tom Brady.

Brady retired last season with a number of titles in his bag including 1 Comeback Player of the Year award, 2 Offensive Player of the Year awards, 3 MVP awards, 5 Super Bowl MVP awards as well as 7 NFL championships and Bryce is going to start his first NFL season this year, hence, these two will never get the chance to meet on the field. However, having advice from the legend at least out of the field is something all the fresh faces want to acquire.

Tom Brady met the top draft picks of NFL 2023 at a lunch meeting

The Panthers’ QB Bryce Young alongside fellow rookies C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis met the legendary quarterback Brady, Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, and rap star Travis Scott for a lunch meeting when they had been staying in Los Angeles for the NFLPA rookie premiere event.

Young was asked about the much-publicized meeting on the first day of the outing of organized team activities and he opened up to the reporters saying he enjoyed a good weekend in Los Angeles.

“It was a great experience. It was great to be with some of the rest of my rookie class. Us to go back and have a good weekend, obviously, with the NFLPA. I got a lot of wisdom out of it. But I’m definitely, definitely happy to be back.”

What did Bryce Young say about his experience of meeting Brady?

Bryce didn’t get into specifics of the meeting, albeit he shared the experience of getting a lot of wisdom from the meeting by asking the seven-time Super Bowl champion about his career.

“There were a lot of gems, a lot of nuggets that I was able to take away. I was able to ask him some questions about his career, kind of his mindset going toward it.”

The 21-year-old is expected to become the Panthers QB1, hence, he asked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ former QB about the things he intended to know at the initial stage of his career.

“For me, obviously being a young quarterback, I wanted to know things that he wished he knew at this age and things that he felt like were key for him to have success.”

TB12 got selected by the New England Patriots with No. 199 overall in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft, however, he moonlighted as a hero by incredibly glorifying himself on the football field, breaking multiple records.

Young is the first overall selection in the latest draft, and Carolina traded with the Bears from No. 9 to get him there, hence, there is a huge expectation from him, however, the young star reminded everyone that he just kicked off his career and needs to prove himself on the scrimmage.

“Where I was drafted doesn’t entitle me to anything in this league. I have never thrown an NFL pass in a game; I haven’t done anything. I have no stats, no wins, nothing. So we’re all on an even playing field. Once you get to the league, where you get drafted, that doesn’t entitle me to anything. So I have to work.”

As the new football season approaches, fans will eagerly wait to witness the debut of the Panthers’ 5-foot-10 sized quarterback, wondering if he can emulate the success and resilience Brady has epitomized throughout his long storied career and become the next GOAT of the NFL despite facing comments regarding his small size.
