Patriots vs 49ers: Who have a greater chance to win?
Patriots vs 49ers Week 7 NFL game is scheduled for Sunday next. After last week’s game, the 49ers have 3-3, and the Patriots stand at 2-3 records. So, the next battle will be crucial for both, however, most important for Patriots.
New England Patriots faced a bad offense lately against Broncos, even with Cam Newton in the center. However, they have struggled to play a positive game together. They only could turn the football more than 3 times but scored only 12 in the end. On the other hand, the Patriots were promising on the offensive side in other games.
On the other hand, San Francisco has built a defensive wall that ranked as 11 in the NFL. Besides, 49ers’ defense Robert Saleh is at the peak of his career as he ranked the third among all the NFL players. He has a success rate of 43.7%, which is 9th in the table. In simple words, the 49ers have an excellent defense to defend the Patriots.
49ers will have to start without two players, Jaquiski Tartt and Jimmie Ward. So, only four defenders who played in last season’s super bowl will be included on the starting lineup. Ward had faced a lower grade quadriceps strain last week while Tartt got a groin injury on the last game against the Rams. As a result, the 49ers will have to alter their defense to stop the faster Cam Newton.
On the other hand, the Patriots have almost all the players in their lineup, as there are no significant injuries among the players. However, five Patriots players are on the questionable list. Among five, Shaq Mason and Julian Edelman are in a risky situation for a calf injury and knee injury, respectively.
After last week’s loss, New England spent their full week on the practice ground. It is reasonable to assume that the full week’s practice could generate enough points to win over the 49ers. Besides, this is a home game for the Patriots, and they have already lost one home game. Losing another one back to back will be a disaster. So it is really important for them to win the next game.
San Francisco has a talented team that has a recent super bowl experience; however, you have to keep an eye on Jimmy Garoppolo. He actually kept pace with the team. The defense of the 49ers will really have an impact on the game.
Can the Patriots get a loophole to break the 49ers’ defense?
Considering the facts and injury reports, New England Patriots has a greater chance to with the Patriots vs 49ers game. To me, Patriots are the first choice. Let’s wait until Sunday to see the final result.
