Recent LeBron James, Stephen Curry snub leaves Trae Young doubting authenticity

Julius Erving, also known as Doctor J, was an American basketball player famous for his exciting style of play in the 1970s and ’80s. He stood 6 feet 6 inches tall and was known for his quick moves, graceful jumps, and powerful slam dunks.

He was recently asked about his list of top 10 NBA players of all time In his ranking Erving surprisingly left out Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and Stephen Curry. As one of the best players of all time, LeBron’s apparent absence raised eyebrows.

Dr.J leaves LeBron James, Steph Curry from top 10 players list

The absence of LeBron James, and Stephen Curry from Hall of Famer Julius Erving’s list of the 10 best NBA players of all time has stirred much debate. LeBron and Steph have been the current best players in the league and King James is regarded as one of the best players of all time and his effect on the sport is clear, but Erving’s omission raises concerns.

It was shocking that Erving would include former point guard Tiny Archibald with legends like Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Magic Johnson. Many have questioned the rankings since Archibald did not do as well in the honors department as LeBron James and Curry did.

Erving said that he may have been affected by the fact that all of the players on his list were retired. Erving’s list may alter in the future as the NBA and its greats continue to develop and evolve.

Young reacts to the NBA legend’s ranking

Trae Young has had a spectacular offseason thanks to a new shoe contract, a podcast, and his recent wedding. He has also been quite active on Twitter during his time off, and he found Julius Erving’s latest list of the top ten all-time NBA players to be interesting.

Young was shocked by Erving’s selections, which featured Karl Malone and Nate “Tiny” Archibald but ignored Larry Bird, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant. His tweet said, “This gotta be fake..#withallduerespect.”

Erving probably had his reasons for the contentious picks, notwithstanding Young’s “calling cap” on the list. Dr. J and the Lakers’ legendary point guard, Larry Bird, have been bitter rivals for decades. All-time rankings are subjective, but Erving’s selections have undoubtedly caused debate among fans and players.
