Initially, they were linked to Liverpool’s current boss, Jurgen Klopp but the German is set to take a rest from his managerial role for at least a year, shattering Barca president Joan Laporta’s dream.
Recently, Barcelona’s board was also linked to be on a move for Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso who has been doing wonderfully well at the German side in the Bundesliga, almost on the verge of winning it after recently defeating Bayern Munich 3-0. But recent news has clarified the interest of Barcelona’s board in another German manager, Thomas Tuchel.

Recent news has stated that FC Barcelona has been monitoring Thomas Tuchel and could be on their way to negotiating with the German for their vacant managerial role for the upcoming seasons.
The former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is currently the manager of Bayern Munich but despite making several signings this season, his team currently sits 2nd in the Bundesliga, almost certain to lose the league title to Bayer Leverkusen, and has suffered a shockingly tragic 1-0 loss to Lazio in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.
These reports have come after reported links to Jurgen Klopp, Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi, Julian Naglesmann, and Hansi Flick, which have agitated Barcelona fans and they have shared their opinions on the reports on X.

These reports came after Bayern Munich’s league-losing 3-0 loss against Bayer Leverkusen and the fans have been open about their opinion over the appointment of the German manager as their club’s manager for the next few seasons.
While few fans are ok with the move, most of them are unhappy about the potential managerial move and they want to express their opinions freely to the public. One of them just stated the fact that Barcelona is shifting from a manager who won them the league to the one who lost Bayern Munich the league this season.
Another fan sarcastically accepted the reports claiming that Bayern wants him out themselves after poor performances this season and that Barcelona is going to another level down under him in future.
One fan also expressed his concerns over the irregular formations and style the German coach has stating that Barcelona’s players will be playing out of their positions very soon if they play under him in the future.
Another fan expressed his surprise that the manager keeps getting this level of job after failing one after the other. Tuchel was initially Chelsea’s manager but after winning the Champions League, his team performed miserably and then he was sacked and then signed by Bayern where his team’s performance has again been under par this season.
The concerns from the fans are real as Tuchel’s team has not been playing good football for a long time no matter if it’s Chelsea or Bayern Munich despite spending so much money on signings. And in Barcelona, he is not going to get so many signings, so there doesn’t seem to be any way for him to deliver at this club.
