In Week 16, Jayden Daniels had an amazing game against Philadelphia. The rookie quarterback threw for 258 yards, five touchdowns, and ran for 81 yards. He became only the second QB in NFL history to do this in one game. His last touchdown pass left the Eagles’ fans shocked and gave the Commanders’ fans an unforgettable moment.
This may surprise many that he is the one who snapped the Eagles’ 10-game winning streak with a thrilling 36-33 victory. The game started tough for the Commanders as they trailed the Eagles by 14 points. But Jayden Daniels wasn’t worried.
Even with a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter, after Jalen Hurts went out with a concussion, Daniels stayed calm. In the post-game interview, he shared that he loves close games like this. He said, “I always believe that we can win the game no matter what. The game’s never over till the clock hits zero.”
“You got those guys that came in on the win streak they were on, they were hot and they’re a very good team — rightfully so, good offense, good defense, all-around well-prepared team and you want to go out there and see where you match up against those type of guys,” Daniels added.
