Russell Wilson injury update: Broncos star QB ‘ready to rock’ vs Jaguars in London

The Broncos’ star QB, Russell Wilson, is having a hard time enduring multiple injuries, one after another. Wilson has previously been injured many times throughout his Broncos career, needing an injection for pain in his throwing shoulder earlier this year. Meanwhile, when healthy, he’s struggled to repeat his 10-year Seahawks Pro Bowl success, ranking among the league’s least efficient signal-callers during Denver’s 2-5 start under Hackett.

Wilson, who missed last Sunday’s loss “ready to rock,” according to Mike Klis of 9News. He revealed that he took rehab exercises during the team’s eight-hour flight from Denver to the Jets, and will play for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury earlier in the Broncos’ Week 6 overtime defeat to the Chargers. Last week, he was limited in practice and ultimately held out against the Jets, leaving backup Brett Rypien to make his second career start.

The 33-year-old QB told reporters following a practice session in Harrow, England, that he feels “great” and is “ready to rock,” according to Mike Klis of 9News. He revealed that he has taken rehab exercises during the team’s eight-hour flight from Denver, while several of his teammates slept.

The star QB also said that he intends to play this weekend in London for a Week 8 matchup against the Jaguars. Wilson was also expected to be available to play in Wembley Stadium this weekend, according to Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett on Wednesday.

How do you expect Wilson to make a comeback after suffering an injury that kept him out of the field for a week? Let us know your predictions in the comment.
