Most recently Liverpool bought, the 22 year old Uruguayan Striker, Darwin Nunez from Benfica and sold one of their legendary forwards Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich as this transfer window turned out a ‘Musical Chairs’ game for big clubs around European continent.

The transfer news of Sadio was speculated ever since the Premier League giant confirmed his departure at the end of last season.

Since then, Sadio Mane was seen negotiating with different clubs around Europe, however, it was FC Bayern that showed the highest interest for signing the 30 year old Senegalese forward as their main striker Robert Lewandowski decided to leave the Bavarian capital on upcoming season.

Bayern Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed that Sadio Mane is arriving at Munich after a successful negotiation meeting that was held yesterday with the Reds in the Merseyside.

The Bundesliga Champion has reportedly paid £35.1m (€41m/$42m) in total for the Liverpool forward on 17 June, 2022 in England and undisclosed personal terms have been agreed with Mane prior to the deal.

Renowned soccer journalist Fabrizio Romano also reported on this transfer to Bayern as he quoted, “Sadio Mané is set to join Bayern on a permanent deal from Liverpool, here we go! Agreement set to be reached after direct meeting between the two clubs today.”

Sadio identified as one of the best forwards in the Premier League at his Liverpool days and eventually made himself an ideal replacement of Robert Lewndowski as he won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup and League Cup with scoring 120 goals in the process.
