As a result the club now needs to reinforce their squad as they will want to compete in every competition. That is why, Newcastle has now gone for a certain Italian workhorse.

Tonali will join with a contract until 2028 and AC Milan will receive 10% if the player is sold in the future. He will also earn significantly more in the Premier League club. The 23 year old has impressed at Milan, where the team went to the semi finals of the UCL. He is known for his physicality and his defensive work on the pitch and has often been called the new Pirlo.
His transfer will bolster Newcastle’s midfield, as Bruno Guimarães will now be able to go forward without worrying about the backline. Tonali is also a regular at Milan, having played almost all their games. All in all, the transfer is considered to be a very excellent one for Newcastle.
Tonali reportedly sobbed gaining knowledge of departure from boyhood club
However, there were reports that Tonali was not actually happy with the move. The Italian international was known to be fiercely loyal to the Milanese club and had previously said he will like to stay there forever.
Many reports, such as La Republicca, said that Tonali was in tears after learning that the club will sell him. It is important to note that Milan is under new American owners who are trying to raise money through transfers. It is thought that Tonali was sold by the club to get a sizable sum of money.
But Tonali’s agent has now dismissed all these rumors. Giuseppe Riso, has said that the rumors are false. Though he may have just said this to avoid any more drama regarding the transfer.
Sandro Tonali will now have his presentation with Newcastle before joining the squad in the pre-season.
