Skip Bayless harshly criticizes Jets’ Aaron Rodgers, calling him the most overrated player in sports: “over hyped, overrated”

After being drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, the legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers quickly moonlighted as a hero in the Green Bay Packers squad with one Lombardi trophy and four MVP titles, albeit the glorious era came to an end following his blockbuster trade to the New York Jets.

However, the FOX Sports media personality Skip Bayless still does not like Rodgers as usual and he recently unleashed a barrage of harsh criticism at the Packers former QB by labeling him as the most overrated player in sports.

Skip Bayless drops brutal “overrated” Aaron Rodgers criticism

Bayless, known for his provocative commentary, has always hated Aaron while he was a competitor of the former NFL star Tom Brady and now even after the retirement of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB, the former ESPN analyst seems to hate him.

Hence, the controversial host didn’t halt back from throwing another jab at the Jets’ new QB marking him as “overhyped” and “overrated” saying that the media and fans have excessively praised his abilities,

“Aaron Rodgers is not that guy, over-hyped, overrated, you can have those four MVPs, you can have the greatest throw of football ever, you can have all those stunning off-platform throws, all products of some of the worst footwork I have ever seen.”

Skip thinks the 10-time Pro Bowler is still gaining fame based on the Super Bowl he won long ago in Green Bay,

“Heck, you can also have that Super Bowl that Aaron Rodgers won long ago, far away galaxy, far, far away, he’s still living off that. Since that Super Bowl, Rodgers is 7-9 in the postseason, think about that, 7-9, and his seven wins are almost all flawed with asterisks.”

The 39-year-old QB recorded a passer rating of 91.1 with 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 17 games in his last season with the Packers, though Skip thinks the QB did nothing notable for his former team,

“For years, Aaron Rodgers has led this league in finger-pointing and blame-deflecting. Until finally, even the arch-conservative Green Bay Packers said that is enough. Yet because Aaron bleeping Rodgers has gone to New York that he’s now a Jet.”

Aaron Rodgers sent a housewarming gift to the new Packers QB

Despite being adamant to leave Green Bay, Aaron still seems to possess immense love for his former team and teammates as the QB recently sent a special housewarming gift to the Packers’ new addition Sean Clifford.

The young star was being drafted in the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft to be the understudy of the Jets’ new starting quarterback Jordan Love. The ex-Packers QB sent Clifford a framed, signed jersey to welcome him to Green Bay with a welcome message, “Welcome to GB! Enjoy that great city & my locker!”

The Penn State quarterback shared an image of the gift on his Twitter with the caption, “Not a bad a house warming gift…thank you!”

When asked about inheriting the four-time MVP’s locker, Sean had high praises for the former Packers’ long-time quarterback,

“It’s cool. That’s what it is. I understand who was in here before, and I respect everything about that, but at the same time, I came in, I found my name on the plate, and I sat down. I’m doing whatever it takes to win games here. I’m very appreciative of the opportunity.”

As the offseason progresses, it remains to be seen if Rodgers can put his best effort on the field to prove his detractors wrong once again, nevertheless, his unwavering effort to make young players feel special with heartwarming gestures will probably keep him high in many fan’s hearts.
