“The Goat of goats” Ex-Manchester United hero Cristiano Ronaldo keeps shattering records at Al Nassr netting first half hat-trick as fans erupted in adulation

Cristiano Ronaldo has again scored a sensational first half hat trick for Al Nassr and fans were quick to praise their idol, calling him the ‘GOAT’.

Al Nassr crushed Damac 3-0 in the Saudi Pro League to extend their lead at the top of the table. The 38 year old opened the scoring in the game with a penalty. Five minutes he scored from just outside the box with a great shot, before grabbing his third right at the end of half time to complete the first half hat trick.

Ronaldo celebrated his goals with his, which the Saudi crowd also joined by roaring ‘Siu’. His many supporters have flocked to Twitter to praise the five time Ballon d’Or winner.

One Twitter account wrote “Cristiano Ronaldo already has two hat tricks this year. The best player to ever grace football.”

Another Twitter user wrote “The greatest there is. The greatest there was.”

A third message was, “38 year old Cristiano Ronaldo doing what 30 year olds couldn’t do.” A fourth comment said, “The truth with Ronaldo is that if he plays he scores” and another simply said, “The Goat of goats.”

This was also Ronaldo’s 32nd hat trick after turning 30 and his 62nd hat trick overall.

Ronaldo had his contract terminated on mutual agreement with Manchester United just before the World Cup due to disagreements over his playing time, his attitude, and for an infamous interview with Piers Morgan. He then joined Al Nassr in January after a disappointing World Cup.

He struggled in his first two matches with no goal involvement. However, he has since turned it up. He now has eight goals and two assists in just four Saudi Pro League games. He previously scored a sensational poker against Al Wehda. Al Nassr is also now top of the Saudi Pro League.

Many questioned whether Ronaldo could still deliver following his dismal performances for Portugal in the World Cup and Manchester United before that. Ronaldo has now shown he still can perform. We do however have to accept that the Saudi Pro League is in no way on an equal level to European soccer.
