Tottenham striker Harry Kane is in mandatory 14-day-quarantine after Bahamas trip

Harry Kane is in self-isolation right now after spending his vacation in the Bahamas.

The English captain’s holiday place was one of those areas which were in the UK quarantine list released on 7 August.

However, Kane will be available to play for the English national team next month in the UEFA Nations League. But the star might miss the pre-season training of Tottenham due to quarantine obligation.

The 27-year-old now has to maintain a mandatory 14-day-quarantine after coming back home.

The Tottenham star is expecting to return to the pitch on their Premier League opener next month against Everton. Before that, he will return to the Spurs training camp to make himself fit to participate in the matches.

England national team will play their first two matches of UEFA Nations League on Sept 5 & Sept 8 against Iceland and Denmark respectively. It is evident Kane’s presence in their manager Gareth Southgate’s squad is depending on the Englishman’s fitness.

Harry Kane netted 24 goals for the North London team last season. But since last January, his hamstring injury made him bound to stay out of the team. Eventually, the striker has almost healed from the injury after spending four months
on individual training.

Tottenham’s boss already expressed his wish to bring Troy Deeny from Watford on loan as an alternative to Harry Kane. The Englishman’s fitness issue is a deep concern for the Portuguese boss to keep a potential backup of Kane for the team.
