Tyreek Hill forecasts his receiving yards while aiming to match $40 million Patrick Mahomes

The speed and skill set of Tyreek Hill once dazzled the Kansas City Chiefs, who paved the road for the receiver to make his NFL debut. Nevertheless, the Chiefs traded their receiver to the Miami Dolphins in a big deal in the offseason before winning their third Lombardi trophy.

Hills’ desire to play in the Super Bowl was fulfilled just once throughout his entire career. Hence, after grasping his spot in Miami tightly, the wide receiver has taken a vow to win the Super Bowl for the Dolphins while expecting a record-breaking performance in receiving yards.

Dolphins WR promises to rack up 2k receiving yards next season

Tyreek enjoyed a bombastic season with the Dolphins in his first season with them. The receiver recorded 1,104 yards in his first nine games; though, due to injury he at last managed 119 catches for 1710 yards and has scored 9 touchdowns in 17 games.

Having tasted success in his last stint, the 29-year-old now believes he has the caliber to record 2,000 yards next season though he has topped 1,400 yards just twice in his career.

“I will break 2,000 yards next year, bro. 2,000 yards were on my bucket list to get before I leave this league,” said Tyrell on his podcast.

Calvin Johnson, a former wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, still holds the record for the most receiving yards in a single season (1,964 in 2012). The Dolphins’ wide receiver is so motivated to reach 2,000 receiving yards while also breaking Calvin’s record and taking over the top spot.

Tyreek Hill eyes his 2nd Super Bowl

In the years 1972 and 1973, the Dolphins won the Super Bowl twice in a row. Things haven’t exactly been quite as good since then. Even though they continue to fantasize about their former success with Tua Tagovailoa at the helm, they keep falling short of winning the Super Bowl for the third time.

The Chiefs won their second Super Bowl in four years after Tyreek joined Miami clubs over the offseason of the previous year. The receivers may naturally assume that since he was on the Kansas City team, he was the one to hoist the trophy.

Because of this, in addition to having 2,000 yards, he also holds dear the desire to play in his second Super Bowl and guide the Dolphins to their third championship. By winning his second Super Bowl, the receiver also can get closer to Patrick Mahomes, one of the highest-paid players in the NFL with a net worth of $40 million who enjoyed his third Super Bowl last season.

“2,000 yards and another Super Bowl — we getting that. Believe that.”

The Dolphins limped to a 9-8 finish in the last season though it could be much better if their quarterback Tagovailoa could play in all games. The veteran amassed 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions in 13 games in his last season.

Having Tagovailoa as the leader, Cheetah thus believes he has the right weapon to fight. Furthermore, he praised his coaching staff and feels all of them will help them to have a record-breaking career this season.

“I feel like I’ve got the right tools around me. I’ve got obviously the most accurate quarterback in the NFL, I’ve got one of the best head coaches in the NFL and also my position coach is a monster also. So just having those three things and me just keeping the same mindset each and every day that I want to get better and I want to break the record and I do want to break the record.”

The challenges that he has taken for himself are surely tough for the receiver; however, his determination and thrust for attaining those may make him able to grasp all of them. Do you think Tyreek Hill will be able to achieve his ambitions? Let us know in the comments section.
