Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo unveils new goal celebration for Portugal, combining his two signature moves

Cristiano Ronaldo is known for arguably the most iconic goal celebration of all time. His trademark celebration “SIUU” is a symbol of Ronaldo’s passion, dedication, and excellence in the sport of football. It involves Ronaldo leaping into the air, twisting his body, and shouting “SIUU!” as he lands.

The celebration’s exact beginnings are murky, but they likely date back to Ronaldo’s days with Real Madrid. The celebration has been adopted by his fans and followers all over the world as a signature move whenever he scores a goal.

Many professional sportsmen, who idolize the five times Ballon d’Or winner, have also performed this celebration as a homage to their icon. Moreover, the celebration has also been incorporated into various social media challenges, where participants are encouraged to recreate the celebration and share it online.

During his second spell at Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo established another iconic celebration. This particular one involves Ronaldo standing with his eyes closed and crossing his fingers. His fans have named this celebration “cold” or “inner peace.”

The 38-year-old Portuguese superstar performed this celebration after scoring against Everton in the Premier League earlier this season. Ronaldo had a bad start for Manchester United, and this goal was supposed to be his redemption. Unfortunately, this was his only goal in the Premier League this season, as the club and the player mutually agreed to terminate the contract.

Cristiano Ronaldo combines both his celebrations against Luxembourg

Ronaldo has performed yet another new celebration after his first goal, this time combining both his “SIUUU” and the “cold” celebration.

In their second EURO qualifying game today, Portugal blew out Luxembourg, 6-0. Cristiano scored the game’s first goal in the ninth minute and celebrated with his new celebration. He then continued to score another in the 31st minute, the 4th goal of the match, after Joao Felix and Bernardo Silva managed to find the back of the net in the 15th and 18th minutes, respectively.

After scoring twice today, Cristiano Ronaldo now has 122 goals in 198 career international appearances. He recently became the most-capped international player and has been the top international goal scorer for a while now. With his current form, he will only be looking to further extend these records to new heights!
