“We can hurt them” Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni issues stern warning to Croatia ahead of semi-finals clash

Even with so much pressure circulating around the world among fans, Lionel Scaloni appears to be a tough man to a crook. The Argentine boss is seen smiling, taking pictures, and vibing the good vibe. He is prepared, optimistic, and has a perfect game plan to destroy the Croats.

Argentina will face Croatia in a crucial semifinal match of the Fifa World Cup 2022 at Lusail Stadium. They will be attempting to reach the final for the first time since 2014, and the Argentine head coach is determined to do so. He has a lot of faith in his troops, and he believes his team will destroy the opponent.

Croatia has always been the underdog. They will struggle against Lionel Messi and co, according to Scaloni’s verdict, after surviving the previous two games and somehow winning them on penalties.

“They have troubled many national teams. I won’t mention the key players or their strengths and weaknesses but we’ve analysed where we can hurt them. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t,” On the eve of the first semi-final, Scaloni told reporters.

Somehow he has admitted a game of football is so unpredictable. His team will surely be the best team on the pitch. But sometimes being best isn’t enough, being fortunate is important. He may have learnt from Brazil after how they have lost after being dominant throughout the game.

“Sometimes luck can be on your side. If we have a good performance, we’ll have an easier road to reach our objective. But this is football, this is sport, so sometimes the best team may not win.”- He further added.

Despite all of the pressures and management, Scaloni did not overlook the importance of Luka Modric and what he brings to the Croatian team. He’s been entertaining to watch, but from a neutral point of view rather facing him.

“He’s a role model for so many of us – not just because of his talent but also his behavior. All I can say is we should enjoy him. If you love football then you should enjoy players like him.” Scaloni said

Injured Angel Di Maria and Rodrigo de Paul is available for this game. When asked about the suspended players, he insisted they won’t be a problem. He is perfectly fine without them.

“We have our own system, our style. Of course, in certain situations we need to take into account how the opponents are playing,” Scaloni quoted.

Everyone around the globe is looking forward to seeing this game. Scaloni is a man of his words, so it should be a piece of cake for his team and may turn out to be nothing more than a formality. The answers will be revealed tomorrow. We will keep you updated in the meantime.
