Since the beginning of this ongoing summer transfer window, Chelsea FC have lost a lot of experienced players, and therefore, they have become desperate to sign talented and prolific stars to make a strong squad for the next season.
As of today, only Sterling, Koulibaly and Cucurella joined the Blues but Thomas Tuchel is highly interested to sign a player from Leicester City which gave birth to the story of ‘Wesley Fofana Chelsea Move’.
Why did Leicester City ignore a fresh bid regarding the Wesley Fofana Chelsea move?
Former Premier League champion Leicester City will not move from their £80 million price tag on Wesley Fofana as Chelsea pursues the French defender, and the Blues also decided that they might shift their interest to other targets if the Fofana deal does not come to a proper solution.
Recent reports also suggest that Chelsea has withdrawn from the transfer of Wesley Fofana and is looking for other targets after Leicester rejected a third £70 million-plus bid.

However, famous soccer journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that, “Wesley Fofana still dreams of playing for Chelsea despite Leicester rejecting the Blues latest bid. It’s his ‘obsession’. Negotiations are still ongoing between intermediaries and they are hopeful the transfer can be done.”
Furthermore, SunSports also realizes that Thomas Tuchel, who was desperate to sign the 21-year-old French sensation, will now shift his focus to other targets.
Chelsea executives are frustrated because they believe the Foxes have priced Fofana out of his dream move after paying a joint world record fee of £85 million for their star defender.
Even the Blues, who are backed by ambitious new owner Todd Boehly, believe that is far too much money for a 21-year-old.
Fofana also missed half of last season due to a leg injury and has appeared in fewer than 40 Premier League games but still, Chelsea were willing to offer £60 million with an additional £10 million in add-ons.
Leicester, on the other hand, thought the incentives were unrealistic and refused to budge and therefore, the Foxes were rumored to be willing to offload Fofana after Brendan Rodgers forced him to watch Saturday’s defeat at home to Southampton from a seat in the main stand and, Chelsea’s latest take-it-or-leave-it final bid appears to have been prompted by this.
Nonetheless, the Stamford Bridge negotiators were taken aback when they discovered that the Foxes refused to budge and were actually doubling-down on their original valuation because in recent years, Leicester have earned a reputation as battle-hardened negotiators.
