“We’ve a Lot of Guys Who Can Put the Ball on the Bucket” Brook Lopez Glorifies Buck’s Depth with Pride

Brook Lopez shows appreciation for his teammates, glorifies his team’s versatility, saying “We’ve a Lot of Guys Who Can Put the Ball on the Bucket”

The Milwaukee Bucks got their playoff season to a winning start with a 93-86 win over the Chicago Bulls. While the scoreline might suggest a comfortable victory, it is far from the actual narrative. The Bucks had to show great resilience, in what was described as a “very tough game”. Much of this resilience was down to their diverse, and resolute defending.

Brook Lopez, a center, was a standout on both ends of the floor. Lopez’s performance stood out despite the fact that Giannis Antetokounmpo led the line with 27 points and 16 rebounds. Even though he accumulated only 18 points, his non-stop action at both ends of the pitch earned rave reviews from both his coach and teammates alike. This was one of Lopez’s best performances ever since returning from surgery back in March.

After the game, Lopez responded to the praises of his teammates by acknowledging the depth of their squad, and how the team has a lot of guys who can put it(ball) in the bucket”.

Lopez further added that their defensive variations helped them to get through a lot of rough patches within the game.

The fact that the Bucks have such a diversified squad also leads the opponent to doubt how they should line up against them. Highlighting his leadership further, Brook Lopez led the line after Giannis was fouled and was unable to play in the latter stages of the fourth and final quarter.

This performance shows that the best teams do not always perform at their peak, but still know how to ground out a win even in the toughest of games.
