Georgina Rodriguez, the longtime partner of Cristiano Ronaldo, is one of the most popular “Wag(Wife/Girlfriend)” on social media. She is a quite successful model, and she already has a successful animated show called “I Am Georgina.”
The first season of the show came out in January 2022 and has been quite successful. Its success led Netflix to do a second show, and they have already released a trailer for it.
In the official trailer of the show, viewers get a sneak peek into the emotions of the Argentinian model. She opens the trailer by saying, “Over 40 million people follow me, but no one really knows how I feel. This year I had the best and the worst moments of my life.”
We then see a tearful Georgina wiping tears from her eyes and saying, “Life is hard. Life goes on. I have reasons to move and be strong.”
Why was Georgina Rodriguez so tearful in the trailer?
This is connected to the tragic death of her child a year ago. Cristiano and Georgina were expecting twins – a boy and a girl. But only the girl was able to survive. This was allegedly the lowest point of their lives.
A statement released by Ronaldo and Georgina after they received the devastating news read: “Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”
Cristiano Ronaldo was absent from the pitch for a couple of weeks after the incident happened. After his return vs. Arsenal in a Premier League game on April 23 of last year, Ronaldo scored in the 34th minute. He then went on to dedicate the goal to his late son.
In the trailer, Georgina also went on to mention how supportive the five times Ballon d’Or winner was during her hard times. “Cris really encouraged me to continue with my agenda. He said, Gio, get on with life. It’ll do you good,” she said in the trailer.
