When is AJ Styles making his WWE comeback following injury that led LA Knight to pair up with John Cena at Fastlane?

AJ Styles is a legendary wrestler renowned for his great talent, spectacular moves, and unwavering grit. His accomplishments include two WWE Championship reigns and a total of 371 days in the title. It’s no secret that AJ Styles considers SmackDown to be “The House that AJ Styles Built.” With maneuvers like the Styles Clash and Phenomenal Forearm, he keeps the whole WWE roster on their toes.

The Phenomenal hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since September 22, 2023, when he was attacked and injured by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. To get revenge on The Bloodline, he may start a rivalry with Roman Reigns from the Crown Jewel event.

What is AJ Styles making his WWE comeback?

AJ Styles has had incredible bouts against the likes of Roman Reigns, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar since his debut in 2016. At first, it seemed as if Styles and Reigns would square off at Crown Jewel. There were rumors about Reigns getting new opponents following Fastlane 2023. Due to WWE’s silence, fans speculated about the severity of AJ Styles’ injuries when he was attacked by The Bloodline. For some, it made sense in the context of a narrative. Ringside News’ Steve Carrier recently stated that Styles isn’t injured at all.

The Ringside News’ Steve Carrier has reported that Styles is well and will be back shortly. Although his precise homecoming date is unknown, he may seek payback on Jimmy Uso or Solo Sikoa in the three weeks leading up to Crown Jewel.

AJ Styles injury helped LA Knight to join with John Cena at Fastlane

As a result of Jimmy Uso’s antics, John Cena and AJ Styles began feuding with The Bloodline. When Cena was being attacked by Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa on an episode of SmackDown, Styles stepped in to help.

Afterwards a tag team bout between Cena and Styles Vs. Uso and Sikoa were scheduled for a Smackdown show. However, Paul Heyman moved the event to Fastlane with the permission of The Tribal Chief. A vicious assault on AJ Styles backstage left him unconscious and in need of medical treatment just before the match contract signing.

Hence, Cena was on his own alone when Uso and Sikoa attacked him at the contract signing. Cena’s tag team partner is still out in the air after the contract was signed by just Solo and Jimmy. Then, LA Knight rushed to the ring, saved Cena, cleared the ring, and signed the contract to replace AJ Styles at Fastlane when Styles was injured.

That the 46-year-old will return to the ring in three weeks for a major event seems all but certain at this point.
