When is Roman Reigns returning to SmackDown? Revealing the first SmackDown appearance since August for the Tribal Chief

It’s been a few weeks since we last saw the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the WWE program, during which he received a super kick from Jey Uso before Jey moved to Monday Night Raw.

With the upcoming Crown Jewel event, there were rumors that Roman Reigns might compete at the Premium Live Event, as he often participates in Saudi shows. However, there hasn’t been any official news regarding his next appearance on WWE television.

Roman Reigns set for SmackDown return

Roman Reigns has been advertised for the October 27th edition of SmackDown after Fastlane and right before Crown Jewel which will happen in the first week of November. There has been much to speculate about who’s going to be The Tribal Chief’s next opponent. His last match was against his cousin Jey Uso which he won due to an interference from Jimmy Uso.

Jimmy Uso has been trying to get back with The Bloodline on SmackDown as both Solo and Jimmy have had issues with AJ Styles lately. AJ Styles went one-on-one against Solo but came out short due to Jimmy Uso’s interference, who he defeated a week later. AJ Styles went against Finn Balor but lost again due to Jimmy Uso’s interference and it seems like AJ Styles is going to be The Tribal Chief’s next opponent.

AJ Styles and Roman Reigns tore the house down the last time they faced each other, so the WWE Universe is delighted with the feud. However, the return of The Rock on SmackDown has left fans speculating about the dream match between Roman Reigns and The Rock to decide The Tribal Chief once and for all.

Reigns vs Rock at WrestleMania 40 now on the cards

The Rock made a surprising return on SmackDown and opened the show with Austin Theory and Pat McAfee in a segment for the ages where he looked quite charismatic in the ring for a 52-year-old. He’d also go on to interact with his former foe John Cena and hugged it out in a moment filled with nostalgia.

However, with The Rock appearing on WWE television for the first time in 4 years, fans have been demanding a match between the two Samoans, and people are confused if the match ever happens, how it’ll tie up with Cody Rhodes finishing the story.

The Rock also revealed on The Pat McAfee Show how the match between him and Roman Reigns was locked in for WrestleMania 39, which obviously didn’t happen due to unknown reasons. But with the writer’s strike not ending anytime soon, it’ll be interesting to see whether Dwayne Johnson is here in the WWE to stay.

A match between the two Samoans headlining WrestleMania would mean record-breaking numbers for the event and WWE knows that the match-up will be a spectacle.

Will Cody Rhodes have to defeat both The Rock and Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat match to complete the story? Feel free to give your opinions in the comments.
