As the Tsitsipas and Kyrgios bury the hatch, the Box Office might be getting himself in new drama. The Aussie player tweets acknowledging Stephanos after the Greek received hate for his comments on Netflix special, Break Point. 

Tennis fans remind the Aussie about the 2019 incident. While he was asked if he was going to apologize to Nadal as well, Nick tweets back , ‘No, I meant that’.

Nick Kyrgios weighs in on hitting Rafael Nadal

The specific incident dates back to the second round of Wimbledon. On the third set of the intense match, Kyrgios intentionally aimed to hit the Spaniard. Nadal defended himself with his racket and proceeded to give the Aussie the deadliest stare. 

Rafael Nadal might have taken this personally and went on to beat the Australian.

The Box Office did not hold back in the comments he made after the match. He openly expressed that he has no regrets for intentionally attempting to hit Nadal. He said that he “wanted to hit him square in the square chest.”

“Why would I apologize? I didn’t hit him. Hit his racket, no? Why would I apologize? I won the point. I mean, the dude has got how many slams, how much money in the bank?he can take a ball to the chest, bro.

I’m not going to apologize to him at all. Yeah, I was going for him. Yeah, I wanted to hit him square in the chest. Like, he’s got decent hands”. Looks like the Australian still stands back by these statements he made 4 years ago. 

After the Break Point debacle, fans asked if Nick was going to apologize to Nadal for attempting to hit him. For which Nick replied ‘No, I meant that’. 

In the end, Nick’s attempt to hurt the El Nino was worthless and the Spainard still took the win. However, he had to walkover in the semifinals due to injuries.

Rafa had to walkover in the semifinals against the ‘King of Grass‘, Roger Federer. Djokovic defeated the other young Spaniard, Roberto Bautista Agut to also succeed to the finals.

This led to the most entertaining and thrilling finals match against the long term rivals. The Championship match went on for almost 5 hours. After 5 intense and closely fought 5 sets, Djokovic edged out took finally take the win. He took home his 16th Grand slam after one of the longest matches in the history of tennis.
